This high-efficiency particulate filter is designed for versatile respiratory protection across a wide range of demanding environments. It connects directly to 3M™ Half and Full Facepieces in the 6000, 7000, and FF-400 Series using bayonet filter holders, or to the 5000 Series and 6000 Series cartridges via a 3M™ 502 Adapter. When properly fitted, it provides reliable protection during welding, brazing, torch cutting, metal pouring, and soldering, as well as safe defense against hazardous lead, asbestos, cadmium, arsenic, and MDA.

The filter accommodates concentrations up to 10 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) with half facepieces, and up to 50 times the PEL with full facepieces when quantitatively fit-tested. Additionally, it offers nuisance-level relief from organic vapors that remain below the OSHA PEL or applicable government limits. This filter is not NIOSH-certified for use against ozone, must not be used as respiratory protection against dangerous organic vapors, and is strictly prohibited in environments immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH).
